Our history

Our pizzeria is a family restaurant with a taste for Italian and Mediterranean cuisine

In 1995 we had the privilege of opening the 3rd pizzeria in the group "Senhor Frog´s", in Areias de São João (Rua da Oura) in Albufeira, which we are proud to manage and present here. We are a couple who share a great love for cooking and customer service. Some of this passion and know-how were acquired in different parts of the world: Sérgio, having lived in Canada for over eighteen years, working in the restaurant industry, and Cristina, who was born and lived in Paris, developed a passion for gourmet cuisine, more specifically, pastries, very early on. We took this passion and know-how and made our dream come true by opening a restaurant that stands out from the rest not only for the quality of its food but also for its customer service, providing a unique experience to our visitors, many of whom have become friends. Not only have we become famous for our delicious pizzas, but we have also turned our restaurant into a paradise for any celiac! This happened when our daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease. Our passion for food, but especially for our daughter, made us think that we should do something! We have experienced first-hand how difficult it is for a celiac to eat in a restaurant without cross-contamination. A new challenge has been set for us: to create the perfect gluten-free pizza! After years of experimentation, we are proud to say that we have come up with the perfect gluten-free pizza recipe, which is very similar to our original and very characteristic Senhor Frog's pizza. We have reorganized the kitchen to prepare gluten-free pizzas, pastas, salads and desserts in an environment that is safe for any celiac and free from cross-contamination. Our recognition comes not only from our customers, but also from the APC (Portuguese Celiac Association), which has chosen our restaurant in the southern region, year after year, to celebrate Celiac Month in May.
